Remote Online Notarization connects signers to notaries via LIVE audio/video technology on a computer, tablet or mobile device.
Absolutely and increasingly popular too! Remote Online Notarization has quickly become the modern-worlds way of notarizing a document and equally as legal and binding as meeting with a traditional notary for an in-person, paper or wet notarization.
Remote Online Notarization is legal and acceptable in all 50 United States. The Remote Online Notaries on Notarize Genie are commissioned in states that allow their notaries to notarize documents online for anyone in the world with a valid US issued Social Security Number and proper, valid identification. These notarial acts take place within the notaries commissioned state’s boundaries which, make the transaction legal. Notaries Public are public officials in and of their state and they may only notarize documents while physically located in their state.
Yes. You may use our Florida notaries to notarize your documents to be apostilled. However, Notarize Genie does not offer the apostille service, the owner of the notarized document would be responsible for obtaining an apostille for the notarized document.
Any document that you would take to a traditional notary public for a “wet” signature and stamp can be notarized on Notarize Genie. However, keep in mind some documents may specifically advise against it. If you are unsure, we recommend first checking with the individual or entity that will be accepting your document prior to completing a session.
First, you’ll need the document(s) to be notarized; Second, a device capable of audio/video; Third, a valid government–issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state issued ID or Passport; Fourth, your US issued Social Security Number to be used in the KBA identity verification process; Finally, a valid credit/debit card to pay at the completion of the notary session.
One document for one signer needing just one notary stamp will cost a total of $24.99. There are additional charges for notary sessions that require more stamps, signers and witnesses. Each additional signer is $9.99, each additional stamp is $9.99 and each witness is an additional $9.99. These are per one notary session.
Nope. Notarize Genie only charges when a notary session completes successfully. Keep in mind, you will be unable to retrieve your completed document(s) if we are unable to charge your card too.

es, snap a photo of the document to upload and we’ll convert it to a PDF to be notarized online as an electronic document. You’ll have to take a really good photo though!
Initially, Notarize Genie will allow up to 5 or 6 individuals to join one notary session including any witnesses and the notary public. Any more than that and you may experience audio/video quality issues as well as, difficulty for the notary to maintain control of the call.
Yes. Witnesses and additional signers may be added to the session by the notary not the signer. Keep in mind, additional analysis prior to joining the call.
Notarize Genie uses a third-party vendor to verify your identity by multifactor identification verification and credential analysis, as required by law. During this process each signer will be presented with up to five (5) questions of which, only they will know the answer. These questions are derivative of the signer’s personal information. The information used for this process is not saved, stored or shared with Notarize Genie. Only the results of the process “Pass or Fail” are stored in the notary’s journal as required by law. Once the signer passes KBA, an automated analysis of a government issued ID will be performed. Once passed, the signer is handed off to the notary. The notary will be presented with a photo of the ID as one final check.
Notarize Genie uses several methods to ensure the security and privacy of personal information by encrypting and protection of all data in transit and at rest. Notarize Genie uses AES-256 bit encryption and tracking of all application access.
